Palmyra is an indie-pop group based in Brooklyn, NY and fronted by the beautiful voice of singer/songwriter Gina Pensiero (of Umberto, The Dumb and Ugly Club). Gina & her band released their very first full-length Mis-En-Scene back in June via Flux Factory. The album is available now on iTunes & it includes 13 gnarly melodies ranging from heart-wrenching testimonials to smart and snappy power pop.
Dept. (pronounced “di’pärtment”) have so far reworked tracks for Sneaky Sound System, Sparkadia, Dukes of Windsor, The Dirty Secrets, and US electro-pop act Walter Meego. The near futures sees remixes for locals Wolf & Cub and Lost Valentinos plus international acts like Yacht and Pop Levi.
With a very special original live show to be launched early next year, each producer brings with him quite a distinct background in his own field: PhDJ, claiming to be Australia’s highest profile indie DJ, but better known for not knowing when to stop partying, and occasionally breaking legs (see Bluejuice tour incident), and Black Anthony, whose black-ness is one of Australia’s most sought-after studio geeks.
The unique combination of PhDJ’s dance floor sensibilities and Black Anthony’s meticulous approach to production combine to form a compelling set of cowbells, crunchy drums, whomping bass, chopped up guitars and erm… flute.

Unfortunately this is not available in the US or anywhere else, but the ape-faced duo from Hamburg Saint Pauli, did this killer remix to the title track & thats available now, below
