Peachcake invited to the UN + show dates

One of URB’s ’100 Artists To Watch,’ Peachcake was invited to the UN earlier this month for International Disability Day, because of their committment to raising awareness and healing through art and music. After the death of lead singer Stefan Pruett’s brother and band member this past year, they launched the Planet Awesome Movement, which involves the free distribution of art (documented in their new “Souls” video), teen hotlines, a TV series (to be piloted by FOX in the Summer/Fall of ’09) and a nationwide series of interactive community “Paint For Peace” art installations/performances.

Their live shows are a one-of-a-kind experience. They’ve bubble-wrapped audiences, started games of Twister, put everyone under a parachute, all while undergoing costume changes. If you got the opportunity to see these dudes live on any of the following dates, DONT MISS IT!

Current dates:

12.31 Fiesta Bowl Block Party (College Times Stage @ 11PM) Tempe, AZ
    01.03 In-Store @ Stinkweeds (FREE!) Phoenix, AZ
    01.03 The Clubhouse Tempe, AZ
01.21 Knitting Factory Los Angeles, CA
    01.22 Chain Reaction Anaheim, CA

P.S. their full-length What Year Will You Have The World? will be out digitally on January 13! You can get the physical now on SmartPunk. Here’s a small tease.
