The BPA think they’re gonna need a bigger boat
The legendary forgotten sessions of The Brighton Port Authority were recently uncovered much to the surprise of The Chairman of The BPA, Norman Cook (Fat Boy Slim) and his long standing studio partner Simon Thornton.
The tapes had been sitting in a disused warehouse space and discovered as the building was to be knocked down. This is genre bending music that was ahead of it s time and features collaborations with Iggy Pop, David Byrne, Jamie T, Martha Wainwright and Dizzee Rascal, amongst many others creating nothing short of a historic masterpiece.
Now these legendary sessions are about to be released worldwide on an album titled I Think We’re Gonna Need A Bigger Boat. Release dates vary a bit depending on which part of the globe you frequent… keep an eye on The BPA Myspace for full details. Meanwhile, if you live in the USA, you are the first to be able to buy the album on CD. It’s available exclusively from Amazon USA now!
If you don’t live in the states… I’m sorry. JK haha, enjoy the club version clip of “He’s Frank” featuring Iggy Pop (above) meanwhile you wait for your country release. Funky! a bit creepy though… Iggy Pop creeps out.

I was not sure I would even listen to this compilation.
I am very glad I did however, this grouping of tunes hold there own.
Bravo, Mr Cook, and Mr Thorton.
