DJ B-Roc of The Knocks presents: The Transplant

Forty-five minutes in length, the set features a sampling of nearly sixty full songs, remixes and mash-ups both contemporary (Devendra Banhart, Lil Wayne, The Knocks themselves) and nostalgic (Kate Bush, Sly & The Family Stone), blended stylishly and without clutter.

The Knocks – DJ B-Roc and Mr. J-Patt – have long collaborated with other creative forces in New York City’s creative community and garnered attention for their remixes of tracks by Katy Perry, Passion Pit, and Shwyaze. DJ B-Roc adds the production of his own mixtape to a discography including Bun B, Cam’Ron & The Game. The Knocks’ first project, “American G-Funk” – a remix of Jay Z-’s “American Gangster” with DJ Benzi – earned them a spot on URB magazine’s Next 100 List in 2008. The Transplant will later be followed by another Knocks release, Damn! The Mixtape, a collaborative project with Andrew W.K. and up-and-comers like Samuel & The Postelles, as well as Lee Scratch Perry & Girl Talk.
