Coeur de Pirate is 18 year old Béatrice Martin who has played the piano from the age of 3. In March 2007, after 5 years of music education, she started composing her own songs. Members of Bonjour Brumaire noticed her & asked her to join their group as singer & keyboardist.

Last spring Béatrice left the group to concentrate on Coeur de Pirate, her solo project. With only a few gigs to its credit, Coeur de Pirate has gotten its fame mainly on Myspace. Her debut self-titled album Cœur de Pirate was released September 16 on Grosse Boite.
