Pete, Yoni & Becky of Heads We Dance currently signed to DIY records. Great things will be happening for the trio, actually at this moment they are in the studio recording their debut full-length & during the weekend, it will be mastered by a BIG dude, deets will come later. In the meanwhile they guys took a break from the recording studio to answer some Qs.

02. What’s your role in HWD & how many instruments to do you play?

Pete – Songwriter / Vocals / Co-Producer / Synths
Becky – Drummer / Vocals
Yoni – Co-Producer / Synths / Vocals

03. Worst live show experience?

We once turned up to a gig in Oxford where we were meant to be borrowing a drum kit. When we got there it turned out to be on stilts. Who puts a fucking drum kit on stilts?!

04. First record you ever bought and where did you buy it?

Pete – The ‘Ghostbusters’ soundtrack – it’s still a firm favourite, a remix of the theme tune made it on to our Halloween mixtape!
Becky – Kylie Minogue’s first album
Yoni – ‘Please Hammer Don’t Hurt ‘Em’ by MC Hammer! And yes, I am still proud of that.

05. Who/What is your major inspiration?

The FUTURE.

06. What are you listening to right now?

Right now? Well we’re answering these questions while sat in our studio putting the finishing touches to our album so we are listening to us. Over and over! Away from the studio we’re enjoying a bit of Little Boots at the moment – she’s our friend from when she lived in Leeds and she’s hopefully going to feature on the b-side of our new single. It’s nice to see her doing so well! We’ve also been liking A-Trak, Lady Gaga and the Justice live album.

07. What posters did you have on your wall as a kid?

Arnie posters from Commando and The Terminator; football posters; and Peter Andre…

08. Name one song you’d hate to have stuck in your head.

09. Name 3 things you need when you travel.

iPod, Mobile Phone, Space Suit.

10. What is your favorite thing you own?

Pete – Roland Juno 60;
Becky – collection of vintage Wham! posters;
Yoni – Guns ‘n Roses mouse mat

11. When you are out on the town, what is your drink of choice?

Probably beer, whisky or rum; red wine or white wine with a meal. Or champagne. Gin or vodka if it’s the summer. Or if it’s the winter. We’re probably drunk by now so cocktails Jagermeister and tequila please. And meths.

12. Stupidest thing you’ve done in the last 12 months?

Yoni: Dislocated my shoulder while putting my coat on…
Becky: I cut myself while digging through trash. Looking for treasure.
Pete: I don’t do anything stupid.
Yoni: Check our latest photo shoot. The stupidest thing Pete has done in the last 12 months is to wear those shoes!

13. Complete this sentence: In the future…

… Is kind of what our album is about – so listen to that when it comes out and all will be revealed!

14. Tell us a fact about yourself that probably nobody knows.

We’re producing the next Madonna album. Not even she knows it yet though…

15. What’s next?

We have a brand new single out in April and then our debut album to follow in May. We’ve been working on the album for almost Chinese Democracy-esque timescales as it’s taken over two years to write and record – but it’s been worth it and we’re really keen to hear what people make of it!
