Run Dan Run releases new EP + Winter tour

I fell in love with Charleston’s Run Dan Run back in ’07 with their debut album Basic Mechanics. I almost peed my pants when I found out that last week the band released a new acoustic EP titled 27 Coming St.. It features 5 songs (some older reworked songs, some new) that were all done live in Dan’s living room (hence the address as the title) in 1-2 takes on a Sunday evening in last October. The guys have hand-pressed (& numbered) 200 copies of the EP which are available at shows & online at Hearts + Plugs for ONLY $5 (I scream the word “only” because these guys truly put effort & heart on their releases. I remember getting their press last year & every single detail was pretty cool). The album will be sold digitally on iTunes & other digital retailers in the coming weeks.
But that’s not all, the band is also about to embark on a Winter tour with dates in Hartsville-SC & Durham-NC & multiple dates in NYC. In an effort to be a little more eco-friendly, they’re ditching the traditional band-in-a-van approach & taking public transportation (Amtrak) to NYC from Durham (& back). We’ll be traveling light with 1 acoustic instrument each. It will be a new way to experience touring for them. How fucking cool is that? Kudos. All the confirmed dates are listed on the flyer above & here’s your first listen on the new EP 27 Coming St.
