Q&As with Nancy + new EP

Since Nancy released a brand new EP today, I sent a couple of Qs to the recently-brazilian-waxed lead singer Camila Zamith. At the end, you can grab the Born Ruffians remix of the title track “Keep Cooler” (included on EP).
Describe Nancy in 3 words…
- Awkward, charming, preposterous.
How many instruments to do you play?
- I only play the flute, but do know how to play “God Save the Queen” in the flute, however.
Worst live show experience?
- When the sound engineer at one of our gigs in Brasília got arrested during our set. High emotions.
First record you ever bought and where did you buy it?
- Kylie Minogue’s single, Wouldn’t Change a Thing, when I was 10 years old. I bought it at my local CD store when I lived in London, England.
Last illegal download?
- Santogold and Little Joy.
What are you listening to right now?
- Santogold and Little Joy.
What posters did you have on your wall as a kid?
- I had a large poster of a bear sitting on a toilet bowl and it read “shit happens”. Also, one of Luke Perry in the 90210 days, Tom Cruise (I’ve since acquired better taste), and one of Woody Allen.
Name one song you’d hate to have stuck in your head.
- Jenny from the Block.
Name 3 things you need when you travel.
- iPod, q-tips, my leather jacket.
What is your favorite thing you own?
- My film collection.
When you are out on the town, what is your drink of choice?
- I don’t drink alcohol, so probably a Coke or lemonade.
Stupidest thing you’ve done in the last 12 months?
- The Brazilian wax.
Complete this sentence: In the future…
- I want to sing a duet with Michael Stipe.
Tell us a fact about yourself that probably nobody knows.
- When I had to go to confession as a pre-teen (I was raised Catholic), I used to make up sins to tell the priest because I was very uninteresting as a sinner.
What’s next?
- I’m going to watch the Carnaval parade in Rio de Janeiro on TV right now.
End.
