Toronto artist Josh Reichmann Oracle Band (formerly of Frenchkiss post-punk band Tangiers) has decided to cover another newly-famed indie hit, this time, a haunting male response to Bat For Lashes’ incredible song, “Daniel.” Josh is making the cover available for mp3 download in celebration of the release of his debut LP, Crazy Power, out now on Paper Bag Records.

According to Josh:

“I’m aiming with these covers (Deerhunter, Bat For Lashes and Bill Callahan upcoming) to showcase the songwriting that I think is strongest by these artists and refrence there production but put my spin on them- which is to bring a raw strange life to there voices and recontextualize or open up the lyrical themes to new dementions. I only cover things that feel soulfull or timless, something I strive for in my music.”
