Lot 49 resurrects

Formed in early 1993, Lot 49 was an alternative rock band, hailing from Santa Barbara, California comprised of 4 musicians; Scott Killion (Malo) on vocals/guitar, Kevin Serra on guitars, Josh Richards on bass & Mike Pearl on drums.
Lot 49 leveraged a style somewhere between The Smiths, The Chameleons & early David Bowie, possessing a unique tonal quality. While very popular in southern California during the mid-nineties, the band dissolved in late 1997 as its members found life pulling them in different directions. Scott still lives in Santa Barbara, while Mike moved to Maui, Hawaii. Kevin & Josh both relocated to the New York area and still collaborate via a project known as, Salt.
The album Lonely Planet was recorded & produced at Orange Whip studios in Santa Barbara & was the group’s most recent & polished studio effort. This 7 track LP was intended for release in late 1997, but due to the dismantling of the band, it never saw the light of day. This recording was shelved & subsequently lost for almost a decade, before the master tapes were rediscovered in a storage locker in New York.
12 years after its creation Lot 49 is finally releasing, their initial public offering, Lonely Planet via iTunes.
