Meet Strait Laces

The most exciting band to come out of the north west of Ireland this year is Strait Laces. 3 young feisty lads making spiky-rock-pop, they always pack a punch with their music.
Formed in early 2008 Strait Laces are considered to be a relatively new on the scene but are already wreaking havoc & delighting audiences all across Ireland & the UK. 2009 saw them playing Trans, Euro-cultured & Liverpool Sound City Festivals & they’ve also supported the likes of Texan outfit White Denim & local heroes General Fiasco.
With a Radio One session already under their belt & spot plays on both Rory McConnell & Huw Stephens shows, Strait Laces are already being tipped as “ones to watch” in 2010.
Along with contemporaries And So I Watch You From Afar, Panama Kings and Ed Zealous, Strait Laces continue to prove that Northern Ireland is a hot-bed of musical activity.
Their debut single “Seconds Out” is due for release through Bruised Fruit Records on November 2nd.
Here’s your 1st taste.
