Bottle Up & Go announce Fall NYC shows + new single

Comprised of singer & guitarist Keenan “Hot Pants” Mitchell, drummer Fareed “The Prince” Sajan, & saxophonist accompanist Andrew Carrico, Bottle Up & Go are a two-and-a-half-piece, lo-fi blues-punk band from primitive Brooklyn, NY. After playing alongside Das Racist & Bear Hands during their maiden trip to Canada for POP Montreal & recently opening for Dead Meadow & Drummer (member of Black Keys), BU&G are gearing up to trigger more drooling, awestruck jaws with their upcoming high-energy CMJ showcases, which include their 10/22 show at Webster Hall’s The Studio with Suckers, Gordon Voidwell, & Tony Castles as well as their 10/23 show at Glasslands with Pattern is Movement, Francis and The Lights, & Let’s Wrestle.
Darker is better. Louder is better. At least that’s the case with BU&G’s newest song “Until The Day I Die”, from their upcoming full-length debut album, set for a winter release. With it’s more robust offering of barbaric & stripped rawness, BU&G’s equally manage to blend in dollops of pop sensibilities that could quite possibly make them the breakout indie act of 2010. The new songs will mark a small death between their last These Bones EP & the refreshed roar of their upcoming full-length debut. The theme of “death” interweaves throughout the band’s freak out blues punk and serves as a catapulting platform for half-belted & half-sung lyrics of haunting iconography, murder ballads, morning tremors & jail time.
The band will also be heading to Vermont to shoot a music video with Chris Edley – director of Saul Williams’ “Convict Colony” & production designer for MGMT’s “Time To Pretend”.
Powered by the same grit and relentless showmanship characteristic of Monotonix, White Stripes or Cage The Elephant, Bottle Up and Go’s upcoming NYC shows are sure to leave your mouths agape & sweat glands pumping thanks to their brandishing of gutteral, live bravado & reckless finesse (all dates after the jump).
