Meet the Housewives

While the term “housewives” used to signify domesticity & maintaining the home, the Swedish duo has recently given it a different meaning. Specializing in Mega House, filthy beats, & dirty dancing, Housewives continue to transform the European club & music scene. Their new EP Dirty Dancing, being released in November by Kinetika Records, will be sure to keep dancers worldwide on their feet.
Since Adeline Supreme & La Fleur became Housewives in late 2006, they have consistently intrigued club-goers throughout the nights. Often collaborating with art students to create a home-like vibe, the venues are no longer ordinary; they literally become kitchens with apple pie, laundry rooms, and more. Residing at hot spots throughout Sweden, including residency at Fredsgatan 12 in Stockholm this past summer, they have been honored twice for “Best Club”, first in People Choice Awards 2007 & next in the Scandinavian Music Convention 2008.
Besides giving the gift of music & dance, Housewives have found more ways to improve our homes. During their residency at Fredsgatan 12, the duo hosted a major charity event with the aim to build wells around the world. “Dance for Wells” gained much recognition, featuring a photo exhibition with music profiles like Adam Beyer, Aril Brikha, & Veronica Maggio, & a charity club night.
Along with their physical transformation of the dance floor and charitable senses, Housewives also add a special touch to their Mega House music. Their last EP What’s Cooking? includes hits “Eat Me” & “Hot Stuff”, which both include genuine clinks & clanks of the kitchen as they were recorded during the making of homemade veggie soup. Their newest track, “Dirty Dancing” combines original & exciting beats with the hypnotizing voices of Adeline Supreme & La Fleur. Check it out:
