After completing their month-long adventurous tour entitled Bedrooms & Backstreets in August, The Wooden Sky is eager to share their experiences with audiences everywhere. With the help of producer & director Scott Cudmore, a documentary capturing the beautiful & strange reality behind the unconventional tour is being released in 10 parts, with Part 1 out now.

When the Wooden Sky embarked on their summer tour beginning in Guelph, Ontario on July 19th, they were ready for the excitement & uncertainty they’d be sure to face along the way. Avoiding traditional venues & performances, the band continuously pleased crowds while performing old favorites along with new tunes from their album If I Don’t Come Home You’ll Know I’m Gone. The documentary reveals personal insights of the Canadian musicians as they performed in unique locations, such as the hull of a boat, a canoe against rocky mountains in Banff, a gondola at the top of Whistler, & within a giant field of beautiful sunflowers.

Since the conclusion of the Bedrooms & Backstreets tour, the Wooden Sky has had a lot to look forward to, like the highly anticipated release of If I Don’t Come Home You’ll Know I’m Gone & additional show dates involving Elliot Brood, Evening Hymns, & CMJ shows. If you missed out on their summer tour, there will be many more opportunities to experience the talent first-hand as the folk rockers expand their musical horizons (upcoming tour dates after the jump).
