Debut single & video from She is Danger: Hurt You

Caspa, Skream, Rusko, Benga are all gearing up for a monster year in 2010, but it does beg the question; “where are the female pioneers hiding in dubstep?” Well the scene’s first ladies have finally arrived, emerging from the shadows of London’s urban sprawl in the form of She Is Danger aka producer/vocalists Maya Jane Coles, 22, & Lena Cullen, 24.

She is Danger were formed out of an eclectic love of dance & dub set against the 4am backdrop of a Caledonian Road squat party. From a desire to craft their own worlds without compromise, the pair write, perform, produce & even engineer all their own original music.

Available on download from December 14th, the band’s debut self-release “Hurt You”, featuring both members on vocals & production, speaks of a bitter edged joy derived from the demise of a deceitful ex-lover, & gives a glimpse at one of the more fierce sides of their debut album (working title Beware) due for release in spring 2010.

She is Danger aren’t just about the studio though with recent gigs seeing the band support acts as diverse as the Orb, Crystal Fighters & Theopolous London at events like Yo Yo, In The City 2009 & even the world’s largest fetish club Torture Garden! A national tour of secret warehouse parties with Who The F*ck Said Dance Was Dead? will see She is Danger travel in December & a string of summer festival 2010 dates are currently being penciled into the calendar…
