New single from Tapetheradio: Stay Inside

I haven’t featured Tapetheradio since June & it’s real good to have them back. The London based 3-piece released a brand new single titled “Stay Inside” via Too Pure on a limited edition white 7″ & digitally on iTunes. Of course, these dudes are freaking rad & want you to have it as a free download along with a wicked remix that Chew Lips did for them.

Holed up in Deptford, Tapetheradio 1st came into being in March 2008 when Ben Caruso (bass) left his native San Francisco to team up with both canadian Bryan Mclellan (drums) & MC (vocals / guitars) to form the band. The first 6 months were spent locked away writing & recording new songs & it wasn’t until Ken the mechanic (who works next door to their rehearsal space) gave his seal of approval that they felt they were ready to unleash their urgent, melancholic rush to the world. In July of this year, they released their debut single, “Save a Life”, on their own Creeky Recordings label. Not a band to do things by halves, each copy was hand made, packaged & numbered by the boys themselves. It proved a winner, featuring in NME’s “on the stereo” section, was b-listed at NME radio & BBC 6 music hammered it (they even booked them to play their introducing stage in October).
