I believe in you

Win Win was born last year when XXXchange (founding Spank Rock member & producer) reached out to lifelong friend, Devlin, to help him start work on a new project. After months of working together, in spite of their strong backgrounds in the arts, the duo realized the project lacked a much needed visual component, so they decided to bring in Ghostdad, a video wizard they met on the DJ circuit in the northeast. Once the 3 got together, the elements & influences each individually brought started to mesh, & you can hear that their composition process is complex & multifaceted, a fascinating coalescence of various technologies.
The 14 psychedelic rave bangers on their self-titled debut album were created from sketches using samples, instruments, cell phone recordings, guitar licks, & myriad modern electronic tools. Basically, anything & everything from which they could draw inspiration.
Vocal contributions were made by Alexis Taylor (Hot Chip), Lizzie Bougatsos (Gang Gang Dance), & Andrew W.K, to name a few. Many of the vocals were added to the pile of synths, software, & samples. But on some tracks the vocals served as inspiration for the final product.
WIN WIN’s self-titled is out now on Vice.
