Chromeo, the electrofunk duo credited for some of the decade’s most addicting pop songs & memorable live performances, is announcing a string of 34 new Fall tour dates, aptly titled the Night Falls tour, in addition to their many upcoming festival appearances throughout the globe this year. This 7-week journey across N. America will be the biggest, most extensive tour in the band’s history. Joining the twosome on the road is soulful crooner Mayer Hawthorne & on selected dates, Ed Banger’s very own funkateer Breakbot. Audiences should expect a spectacle as Chromeo’s performances are known for their trademark hot-legged keyboard stands, elaborate light show & sultry Robert Palmer-esque back-up singers. More recently fans, have been treated to guest appearances by the likes of A-Trak & Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend to go along with the band’s seriously fancy footwork. Ticket sales started earlier today for pre-sale & open July 8th for the general public. As all of Chromeo’s past tours have, this one is likely to sell out quickly.

In other news, Dave 1 & P-Thugg are releasing their next official single, “When The Nights Falls” featuring Solange Knowles. The single package features remixes by Hercules & Love Affair, Lifelike, Breakbot & a cover version by Mayer Hawthorne.
