MIS + Ad Rock (Beastie Boys)
Mexican Institute of Sound’s new album is humorously called Soy Sauce & due out April 7th (out now on iTunes). If you are heading to Coachella this year, MIS, who craftily mixes of cumbia, mariachi, and electronica, will go perfectly with the palm tree backdrop at Coachella so check out MIS in the desert if you can.
The 1st single, “Alocatel” was released earlier last month, & now Camilo Lara (MIS) is giving away this remix (bonus track on the upcoming release) of the tune by Bestie Boys’ Adam Horowitz aka Ad Rock. The remix includes Horowitz giving an NYC & Mexico City shout-out before unleashing deep, vibrating bass & synth swirls over rolling Spanish rap.
