Y’all should know Nacey by know, he’s responsible for some killer remixes (La Roux, Wale, Major Lazer). Steve Starks is his good friend & DJ partner. Both dj at the Nouveau Riche party in Washington & not too long ago they released a free split EP.
I guess Steve is remixing now too (hooray), since he sent this one of AVH’s classic.

Arguably one of the more formidable DJ/producer collaborations in recent memory, the creation of Duck Sauce by world renowned DJs A-Trak & Armand Van Helden promises to deliver what could easily be the the most refreshing dance music in years. Individually, the New York-based duo are among the reigning names in dance music, past & present; earlier this year, they teamed up to produce tracks destined to become instant anthems. Having found it easy to work together through similar musical backgrounds & viewpoints, namely creating house music through a hip-hop filter, Duck Sauce was born.
Reviving classic mid-90s formulas that became Armand Van Helden’s signature sound along with the filtered French Touch era of labels Roulé & Crydamoure, Duck Sauce reinvents effortless disco house with a sonic quality & aplomb suited for the DJs sets of today. Over a span of 5 days A-Trak & Van Helden mined their disco loops with the prime objective of “intentionally making party monsters.” The result was several overwhelming, feel-good tracks, 2 of which became the massive summer sing-along “aNYway” and “You’re Nasty”, a high-energy dancefloor bomb built around a quirky half-bar sample & a screeching keyboard. These 2 songs, as well as other disco gems, can be found on the upcoming Fool’s Gold EP entitled Greatest Hits (out on 10.05).
