Yesterday, the David Lynch Foundation Television (DLF.TV) presented the world premiere of “Shadows”, the latest music video from Au Revoir Simone.

Often referred to as David Lynch’s favorite band, Au Revoir Simone collaborated with the director to provide backing music to Lynch reading his book on Transcendental Meditation and the creative process, Catching the Big Fish: Meditation, Consciousness and Creativity.

Green Label Sound released today its latest track “Supreme Being” by NYC psych-rock band Amazing Baby. “Supreme Being” is a mix of melodic prog & swirling indie rock, & is available via free download exclusively at the GLS website.

Hardcore fans of Amazing Baby will find “Supreme Being” familiar. A demo version of “Supreme Being” was released on the 2008 EP Infinite Fuking Cross. The new version was completely re-recorded featuring some of the ladies from Au Revoir Simone as background vocals.

“The original recording of it was done in my bedroom,” said guitarist Simon O’Connor. “It didn’t belong on any album; it needed its own parade of sorts. When Green Label Sound came along, we thought that would be the absolute perfect vehicle to take ‘Supreme Being’ and put it out there.”

Dave Sardy, who has worked numerous successful artists, including The Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash, & Jay-Z, mixed the song.

“The lyrics are about not being comfortable in your own skin, not knowing who to trust and not knowing who you are,” said lead singer Will Roan. “It’s about searching for that thing you want to surrender to.”
