Have your own gig w/ Ladyhawke & Bombay Bicycle Club

SunSmart – Cancer Research UK’s skin cancer awareness campaign – has created the prize of a lifetime open to all those aged 16 – 24 who prize their skin (or who we’re calling, “skindividuals”).

To get your mitts on this exclusive prize – an all-star gig with Ladyhawke, Bombay Bicycle Club & New Young Pony Club just for you & your social network – you need to make sure you grow the biggest guest list.

To get you started, they’ve created some online tools to help harness the power of your existing social networks, on the likes of Facebook, Bebo, MySpace & Twitter. And to help you promote your gig offline, they’ve even created some eye-catching posters for you to customise, print out & display.

You’ll have until Friday 31st July to make your guestlist as gigantic as you can. The top 10 guestlists will be notified & entered into the final.

Finalists will be asked to submit a short, 30 second video clip with their mates about what makes them a skindividual & why they deserve to win this music prize of a lifetime. Entries will be judged by their special panel of judges, which includes: Jamie Brittain, 23 year old co-creator of Channel 4’s Skins, Callum Negus-Fancey, 18 year old entrepreneur & the brains behind the teen club night Let’s Go Crazy.

Entries can be filmed in anyway you like from mobile phones to web cams & will be judged on creativity. The winner will be announced mid-August.

The exclusive gig will take place on 26th August at top London music venue, Relentless Garage, Islington.

A message from Bombay Bicycle Club

we’ve got a free space from 30th june to july 3rd and we want to go on the road and do some acoustic shows, but because we have been blacklisted from so many prestigious venues, we need YOU to tell us where to play. maybe you’re having a house party, or you live near the sea and own a small boat, or you know a nice hill with a view, and we would love to play there, as long as you are nice and have nice friends who form a nice crowd.

email us your thoughts at bombaybicycleclubband@hotmail.com and we’ll choose the most interesting ones. fuck playing venues, let us play in your local aquarium while feeding lulu the turtle

do it before june 15th to give us time to think love bombay x
