Clockwork sent this last week, it’s his entry for the current HARD LA remix contest.

Remix artists have the opportunity to remix “Steppin’ Up”, the Rusko-produced track from M.I.A.’s new album /\/\ /\ Y /\ (out this Tuesday). The winner gets 2 tickets to HARD LA/M.I.A. on July 17th with VIP access (VIP tickets can’t be purchased)!

2) On their latest issue, Dazed & Confused talks to M.I.A about her third album (which has a title that is unrecognisable to online search engines but leads to a heated discussion on her current battles waged in cyberspace), as well as bombs, beats & babies. Shot by Rankin & accompanied by a printed iChat conversation between M.I.A & French director Romain Gavras, responsible for the controversial video for “Born Free”, featuring ginger men & children being rounded up for slaughter.

Felix Cartal is preppin’ up to release his debut full-length & if everything goes as planned, we’ll have it in our iPods this quarter. The single will be the precursor to the record, which features Johnny Whitney of The Blood Brothers/Jaguar Love on vocals. So basically the crew from La Blogothèque were partying at this pub in Paris & ran into Kele from Bloc Party. What do you do when you ran into Kele in the middle of the night & have an HD camera in your hands at the same time? Make him sing something for you! Hell yeah! La Blogothèque asked him to sing. He said no. They asked again, he said “yes but”. They asked again… They capture one song, an oldie but never played acoustically before, one of kind! Bravo!
