LA: Freeland + Fish tacos (FREE show on Sunday)

Spring 2009 welcomed the release of Freeland’s genre defying electro shoegaze album Cope™ – one of the most ambitious projects of his career to date. With a track listing that boasts a whirl of psychedelic drone rock redolent of Freeland’s move from his native UK to the California desert, Freeland gears up for a very special night to celebrate the story behind one of the album’s most curious tracks, “Best Fish Tacos in Ensenada”.
Inspired by a local taco stand in Los Feliz, around the corner from Freeland’s Los Angeles studio, the song pays homage to the signature tacos which fueled his creative process while writing Cope™, dedicating a track to this coveted South-of-the-border inspired establishment.
To celebrate the launch of Cope™ Remixed, which sees the album remixed by some of the most celebrated names in electronic music including Siriusmo, Prins Thomas, Justus Kohncke, Grum, High Rankin, Joker, AC Slater, Alex Metric, Shadow Dancer, Marc Romboy, Emalkay, Gui Borrato, PANTyRAiD, Glimpse, El Ten Eleven & more, Adam Freeland is set to play a free show at Best Fish Taco in Ensenada this Sunday, December 13. Full deets after the jump.
