Grizzly Bear + Neon Indian

Neon Indian gave us something to be thankful for last week when he released not 1, but 2 brand new remixes of the Grizzly Bear fave, “Cheerleader.” The 1st one, aptly titled “Sega Genesis P-Orridge” mix, bathes the track in poppy synthy goodness, while the second mix, “Studio 6669” Remix, offers a more laid back approach. If you’re in New York, you’re lucky enough to have 3 chances to catch Neon Indian around town this December, the 15th & 16th at Mercury Lounge & 17th at the Brooklyn Bowl.

Grizzly Bear’s new video: Ready, Able

New video for “Ready, Able,” from Grizzly Bear’s Veckatimest. Directed by Allison Schulnik.

The band lent some of their songs to director Allison Schulnik for her short film, “Hobo Clown”, & are fans of her claymation work. It was only a matter of time before they asked the LA-based artist to create an official video for one of the standout tracks from the new album.

Grizzly Bear & Lil’ Wayne: VeckaFlyest

After the successful release of Home Demolition, The Soundmen’s remix project with Glasvegas, they have returned with an EP that is shattering even more boundaries. VeckaFlyest is a short but sweet project pairing the Soundmen’s production, Grizzy Bear samples & Lil Wanye’s vocals to create a sound collage the bangs from Brooklyn to New Orleans.
