Apparently, GZA is a major Mando Diao fan. So he got together with The Hood Internet to come up with a re-interpretation of the Swedish quintet’s new single from their new album Give Me Fire (out in Sweden). Canadian rapper, Cadence Weapon is featured around the 1:22 mark.

One of the defining moments of this year’s SXSW was the pair of surprise collaborations between Atlanta garage rock rabble-rousers The Black Lips & Wu Tang impresario GZA. The Lips released an iTunes EP including 200 Million Thousand fave “Drop I Hold,” along with a never-before-heard version of the song featuring verses from the Genius himself, GZA. In addition, the release features an instrumental version of the track & the video for the album-version of “Drop”.
