Housse De Racket + Van She
Housse De Racket are 2 young French kids who have been playing together since their teens (they met back in the 90s in the orchestra of the local Chaville conservatoire). They finally released their debut album Forty Love last year & will be touring through Europe this month (all dates below)!
Forty Love was produced by Gonzales & Renaud Letang (Feist, Gonzales, Peaches, Manu Chao & Tiga) & it’s supposed to be a gem, “a fresh take on pop combining influences from the 90’s ‘French Touch’ era to the 1960s melodic French song-writing sensibility & yeat crystallized in a modern pop sound”. Unfortunately for a lot of us this is only available in France, but they are planning to spread their music a bit more by giving away one remix of their upcoming single “Synthétiseur”. The EP that contains promising remixes by Mix Hell, The Teenagers, Das Glow & Van She is being released next week in France & August 3rd in the UK.
