The past couple of years has seen Binary slowly grow from 2 guys to a family of producers around LA & the world. They’ve been doing everything they can to spread good music, & after almost a year of work & planning, they’re releasing their debut record on Binary Records. It’s a compilation featuring 2 songs from each of Binary’s 7 artists. Alfa, Fabian, LexiconDon, Keenhouse, NightWaves, Short Circuit, & The Kids Are Radioactive all represent a different side of our Los Angeles, from heavy gritty tracks to straight dreamwave heartbreak songs which conjur images of the Southern California beaches & palm tree lined streets. All put together, this is an album to be proud of. Binary’s focus has always been about melody & great songwriting, not necessarily killing big dancefloors. They’re just fans of great music & want to share it with all of us.

So the record came out digitally worldwide this Tuesday on iTunes & all other major stores. They commissioned some amazing remixes from both well known, and up & coming producers to promote the release. Here are some of them, & stay tuned, there’s more to come.

Keenhouse has been featured on practically every important music blog on the planet in the
last couple of years. Civic Transit has been reviewed by many publications, garnering him a large amount of print & online buzz. He’s received heavy airplay on KCRW in LA, & his single, “Deep in The Forest” has been getting played in clubs worldwide. Ken’s remixing prowess as Keenhouse has made him the go to source for dreamwave dance floor killers. Recently completed commisioned remixes include remixes for College, Fare Soldi, West Indian Girl, & Loose Shus. Keenhouse is continuing to build on his live show while working on his full length follow up to Civic Transit. In the near future he will be featured on the highly anticipated Valerie & Friends compilation album, as well as Binary’s compilation album, LA Lights.

In addition, Japanese powerhouse record label Thistime Records is re-releasing Civic Transit in Japan, with plans for a Japan tour in the works as well.

Dynamic dance duo Fare Soldi are back with 3rd third record, Sappiamo dove abiti (which in italian means “we know where you live”), a big explosion of grooves and rhythms and nonsense feelings. Produced by Riotmaker Records & at the moment available only in Italy, so get your 1st taste below.

The 1st single from the new album is titled “Survivor”, a tribute to the classic italo disco track by Mike Francis brought to new life. But that wasn’t enough, Fare Soldi added remixes by two of my favorite & finest electronic dudes Saint Pauli & Keenhouse. Two xtremely different styles, pick your favorite below… I can’t decide.
