Phenomenal Handclap Band’s NYC shows + pre-release

Friendly Fire is proud to announce that the self-titled debut album from NYC’s Phenomenal Handclap Band is now available to download on iTunes (and will be in stores on June 23)! The Phenomenal Handclap Band are radically different from anything else Friendly Fire has ever put out: this superbly talented 8-person collective creates barnstorming psychedelic disco soul. The new album (which features guest appearances from a slew of talented musicians, including members of TV on the Radio, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, L’Trimm, Calla, Antibalas, Mooney Suzuki, Si Se, and more) is packed from start to finish with cosmic jams.

Grab the dancefloor-filler “15 to 20″, which Rolling Stone describes as “summer’s first party jam… wildly catchy”.
