Almost immediately after recording the critically acclaimed, The Satanic Satanist, Portugal. The Man’s John Gourley returned to Boston’s Camp Street Studios to begin recording “something a bit more beat driven and… a bit more spontaneous,” as Gourley described in a letter to their fans. The result is American Ghetto, the band’s most personal & the “most consistent album, lyrically” to date.

Portugal. The Man are very excited to head out on tour again. As promised they’ll be hitting most of the cities they missed on the last tour. Sadly they cannot hit every town but they’ll do their best trying (all dates after the jump). The latest video from Portugal. The Man directed by Ryan Rothermel.

In support of their latest release, The Satan Satanist, the band embarked on a Autumn tour last week throughout the US.
