The Lowbrows are a creative unit that was formed in 2005 by Chaki & Emi.

Chaki masters a variety of instruments, including the guitar, wooden bass & turntables. He’s been a DJ for many years & has performed with Digitalism, The Bang Gang Deejays, Hot Chip, Friendly Fires, N.A.S.A., Danger Steve Aoki, & many more.

Emi shows off her talent, with her trained classical music background. Their edgy sound is always looking toward the future, & gives you a sense of innovation with every listen! Being an electro/dance duo “made in Tokyo”, gives The Lowbrows are a unique presence these days.

At the moment, they’re currently working hard on their highly anticipated 2nd EP, Danse Macabre which is scheduled to release next month on the 7th.

The reason why I didn’t post this video the day it was released is that the quality wasn’t great. Then I finally got the HD version on the beautiful Vimeo presentation & then I forgot to share, oops! Anyway as previously mentioned “Audacity of Huge” is the 1st single to come off of SMD’s forthcoming full-length Temporary Pleasure (out on August 17th). The song features the vocals from Chris Keating of Yeasayer.

If you missed the 1st “Audacity of Huge” remix to emerge go HERE but before you do that grab this new one by British duo Allez-Allez. There’s rumors that this remix was rejected by SMD, but to be honest I dont know… couldn’t find any official statement.
