Rifoki is the New Punk Hardcore project of Steve Aoki & Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, better known as The Bloody Beetroots. Recorded in Italy with Giulio Favero (ZU), Franz (Il Teatro Degli Orrori) & Rocco Rampino (La Quiete, The Death Of Anna Karina), Rifoki is the maximum level of expression of a lifestyle that has brought them to be two of the most recognized DJs & producers in the world.

But before they were DJs & producers, before electro, & before the rocked the clubs, Steve Aoki & Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo were punk rockers.

Rifoki is a return to their roots: hardcore punk, pure & simple. The EP features artwork by Mark McCoy, a visual artist & vocalist for numerous punk & metal bands including Das Oath, also part of the Dim Mak family. Out March 9th via Dim Mak.

Not too long ago All Leather’s singer Justin Pearson accompanied The Bloody Beetroots on their “Sons of Anarchy” tour in Australia. The video above, filmed by Jacqueline Coulon (edited & produced by Leg Lifters) shows some footage of the tour featuring All Leather’s “Mystery Meat” remixed by the Beetroots. You can find this track on the latest Bloody Beetroots release, Christmas Vendetta…Spares of Romborama available now on iTunes. Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo & Tanino Liberatore recently released Romborama, the highly-anticipated debut album from The Bloody Beetroots. This is the fusion of two concepts, describing Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo’s anarchical musica opera. The album destroys the notion of “musical genre”, expanding the meaning of “Music” during a period in which this term is in serious jeopardy. In this collection of 20 original tracks, the only common denominator is “electronic”.
