NYC’s Yeah Yeah Yeahs are going to Australia over the New Year period, with a notoriously deadly live experience & universally adored new record, It’s Blitz! in tow. The newly crowned proprietors of the finest zombie rock this side of the century haven’t seen Australia since 2006, & their return comes not a moment too soon.

Already headlining a bunch of Festival bills this summer, finally & deservedly the Yeah Yeah Yeahs announce two of their very own headline shows – one each for Sydney & Melbourne.

Fresh off their triumphant appearances on SNL & at Coachella, as well as performances on The Late Show With David Letterman and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, New York City’s Yeah Yeah Yeahs will hit the road for a spring tour. The tour, which begins May 23rd at the Sasquatch Festival in Washington state, will make stops at the Bonnaroo Music Festival on June 12th & the All Points West Music & Arts Festival on July 31st.

The trio are touring in support of their latest album, It’s Blitz!, which was released on March 31st. Already No. 1 at indie retail stores around the country, It’s Blitz! has earned 4 stars from Rolling Stone, 5 out of 5 from Britain’s Q, and been called “the alternative pop album of the decade” by Spin. The 1st single — the huge, dancefloor anthem “Zero” — has stormed the Top 40 at Alternative Radio with no signs of slowing down.
